AGNCY:01 is a real-time live-minting installation that runs a custom virtual machine in which randomly assembled programs are sharing the same memory space which they continuously modify. The code agents are using an minimalist machine language which is engineered in a way that their code can never create any illegal instructions or crash. In their interplay the agents create a environment which varies in rhythm, speed and behavior and which results in an ever-changing glitch aesthetic.
This is an interactive generative audiovisual collective voice identity installation that translates our identities altered by our voices. What does it mean to be human in a data-driven society as individuals and as collectives? While our physical and digital identities can be easily altered and are getting more blurred, there is one very unique ID that is under-celebrated – our voice. This unique instrument we are born with is our sonic identity. Not everyone gets to speak their minds freely and feel heard. And we remember how people make us feel from the way they speak.
The first version of this installation was created for VerticalCryptoArt in London, 2/11/2022. This 2nd iteration will integrate generative music with live sound capture at Zerospace NYC.
Everyone can live mint and NFT their collective voice ID as a digital collectable.
VERSA is an emergent AI poet developed by Ross Goodwin in collaboration with theVERSEverse, trained on the writings of the collective and powered by Goodwin’s word.camera, an image-to-text device that instantly generates poems from photographs.
SCANNERS is an innovative live minting experience created by EBB in collaboration with Nicolas Sassoon. The device allows you to create your own and unique generative NFT, based on both your physical and digital imputs
